We are pleased to announce that Dr. Alex Kavanagh has been promoted to the rank of Clinical Professor in the Department of Urologic Sciences.
Dr. Kavanagh completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Calgary and his urology residency training at the University of British Columbia. He subsequently completed fellowship training in male and female incontinence, pelvic floor reconstruction, and neurourology at Houston Methodist Hospital (Weill Cornell Medicine). He also earned a Master of Public Health in clinical epidemiology from Harvard University.
Dr. Kavanagh’s promotion reflects his significant contributions to clinical care, education, and research, and underscores his commitment to advancing urologic sciences at UBC and beyond.
