Justin Hampole

Justin Hampole was born and raised in Prince George, where he developed a strong connection to British Columbia’s outdoors and community. He began his post-secondary training at the University of Northern British Columbia, completing three years of a biomedical studies degree before earning his medical degree through UBC’s Island Medical Program in Victoria. During medical school, he was drawn to urology for its blend of technical innovation, variety, and meaningful impact on quality of life. He is grateful for the outstanding mentorship he received from the urologists in Victoria while exploring the specialty.

Before pursuing medicine, Justin competed as a figure skater at the national level, becoming a Canada Winter Games medalist and five-time national competitor. His passion for the sport continues to this day, and he enjoys staying involved in skating whenever possible.

As he joins UBC Urology, Justin is excited to explore the Lower Mainland and take full advantage of what it has to offer, from hiking local trails to finding his go-to coffee shops and exploring Vancouver’s world-class food scene.
