We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Chris Nguan for his exceptional leadership as Program Director of the UBC Urology Residency Program over the past decade.
During his time as PD, Dr. Nguan led numerous initiatives — to just mention a few, he oversaw the successful implementation of Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) in 2021, expanded the program from three to four residents per year, and championed efforts to strengthen equity, diversity, and inclusion across the program.
Under his guidance, 24 residents graduated, each shaped by his commitment to high-quality training.
We are also pleased to welcome Dr. Thomas de los Reyes, Investigator and Pediatric Urologist at BC Children’s Hospital, as the new Program Director.
We look forward to this exciting new chapter under his leadership.
